The first step to becoming an IndiGo pilot is to complete the Cadet Pilot Programme. This is an integrated pilot training program that teaches aspiring young people to become commercial airline pilots.

How to Apply for the IndiGo Pilot Program
The pilot program at IndiGo consists of two types: The Cadet Pilot Program and the Non-Type Rated Pilots. The cadet pilot program is designed to help young individuals gain their initial Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and an Airbus A320 type rating in an efficient and focused manner.
To participate in the cadet pilot program, you must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and English as a language of study. You should also possess a valid Indian Class 1 medical certificate and be in good physical condition.
The next step is to attend an aviation knowledge test and a psychometric and skill assessment. The latter is conducted through the CAE Aircrew Selection System (CASS). Candidates who score minimum pass marks, as determined by IndiGo, will be invited for further assessments.
